The ad will take the whole screen, pushing the stream into a small pop up muted on the side for either 30secs, or a whole minute depending on how shit your luck is. Refreshing doesn't work and sometimes it can be worse.

The streamers are the ones who set up when the ads happen so unless he lets the audience know and waits for it to finish, you'll most probably be missing on a key moment or the highlight of the stream.
