If you are a guy, you need to be mentally ready to start a family, especially considering that males tend to mature slower than females.
Throughout most of history, women tended to get married between 14-18 and men in their early 20s.
This age gap makes sense because males and females (human) mature at different rates as previously stated.
Also, and this is just my own observation, but motherhood tends to come naturally. It is largely intuitive and instinctual.
In addition to it being instinctual, ideally the mother and/or mother-in-law would be present to provide continuity and advice for the first-time mother.
A (human) female wouldn't just "know" one day that they are ready to be a mother. I don't believe that's how it works.
They will however have a "ready to settle down now" moment in their mid 30s, but by then it's likely much too late.
I would like to hear your thoughts though, as well as the other anons in this thread.
