>>20577353it's gross when they're there to just make money. the original appeal is that it's japanese women pretending to be cute anime girls. the voices are a straight hit of serotonin sometimes, and the avatars let you pretend it's a cute anime girl playing your favourite games. what really made hololive tho, imo, is that the personalities seemed to actually be having fun with eachother and sharing wholesome interactions. the western ones are kinda cringe because they don't act like anime girls, they act like stacies, and their voices aren't so anime-like and cutesy.
