>>20610108you get it, anything to enhance the profitability of it. youtube channels and eco-consciousness type shit can actually help a lot, because its political there may be grants and special funding that would otherwise be siphoned by scammers.
I think family (larger clan really) is the actual business, and so everyone in the clan works to earn. whether its infotainment (vlogging, DIY type tutorials, drama), re-investment/partnership with customers, access to markets to ship and vend your own goods, property speculation (ie owning a farm and growing a product that sells well), developing a product, etc.
the real business is building your clan, the sailing cargo ship is just a cultural banner for people who are like you to rally around.
it mollifies people, its cool, its smart, its an endeavor and requires courage, and people rally to courage.
unfortunately, if it was easy everyone would already being doing it, boats are expensive, people are unreliable, low engagement, learning what resources you need that you don't have, etc. The first few steps you'd be fighting the inertia to move a boulder that is at rest (and has been since the 18th century). however once it is moving, in theory, the inertia works in favor of a successful endeavor.
