>>20612663If you google the story you will find out that our Work Minister back then was in talks with the U.S. that desired germany to take turkish workers.
We really needed worker after the war in the boom phase, but we filled all these jobs with europeans (mostly italians, greeks and easterners).
So our work minister friendly declined becuase we didn't need workers and our politicians internally said that immigration from rural turkey would be bad for our society (crime, other religion, other socialisation).
Then he got pretty hard pressured by the U.S. because they geopolitically needed agreements with the turks.
The turks wanted to send a few of their social failures to the west, receive western currency and get the knowledge of western industries. The U.S. wanted to tie turkey to the NATO and get military bases/agreements.
So in the end germany had to accept under protest and they sent us a few hundret thousand turks.
Actually it was agreed upon that they would need to go home after 3-5 years again, but in the end this was not enforced for us unknown reasons. Contrary to the deal they were actually allowed to import their wifes to germany and that children born here hard the right to get citizenship if they dropped the turkish one.
The first generation worked halfway ok and was accepted. The second generation also was kinda ok, but distanced themselves more and more. But the third and following generations mostly behave like human trash if they didn't distance themselves from their countrymen. They are the most religions group, the most nationalistic and the most turkic we ever had, only thing they miss: connections to turkey.
Now we have 3 or 4 million turks of which probably 2/3 are incompatible with our culture. Funnily enough they now fight with the new refugees about the ressources and are pretty pissed that we don't close the borders. But we are fully EUjewed now and our politicians will not do this, because they hate us.
