Please explain the appeal with techno and raves. Disregarding the drugs, what's so fucking fun about it? It seems like fake-deep bullshit for emotionally stunted hipsters who can't dance

There are very few psychoactive drugs at raves these days. Sobriety is the drug of choice in current year albeit weight loss drugs and jew pills are increasing in popularity.

Then why not have actually good techno music? It's rare but every once in a while I find some good shit. In general, however, it's cringetastic mishmash of nothing. It sounds like something a twelve-year-old put together.

There's an expressive and inclusive community at festivals that are hard to interact with in normal society. All festivals are different. Burning Man represents an idealized society free of government regulation and emphasizes free expression. I'm planning to go to the When We Were Young festival which surrounds the alternative and emo community from the 2000's. Most of the bands are from what's considered to be the wonder years of alt and emo. I'm going to escape the daily grind of normies who listen to Taylor swift and metal music to be among my own.
Things like EDC attract more of the drug and burnout crew. I'm not saying it's just about drugs but a lot of people who go to techno festivals do so to roll and hookup with rave slags.
