imagine if this was done earnestly. it's pathetic, and likely a symptom of other mental illness. but as with most things today, we can consider it was done with irony, an intrinsic lack of honesty and truth. the person that made this image is implicitly dishonest, they know and want their viewer to not take them at their word, rather than be overt, their message is to be interpreted by its viewer, its content is a series of symbols to be discerned, it is not, as it seems, a person mistaking a cat for a human child and taking a picture thinking they have captured them in a candid moment of play.
no, it is a carefully staged picture meant to get attention for its creator, to impress upon the minds of its viewers the desire of its creator. what kind of mind would use this medium? what kind of message are they attempting to send? the mind reels but its lack of depth and sincerity is immediately evident, as well as a kind of sneering confidence, that they could create something so nihilistic and obscure and people would adore them for it. it would be pathetic if it weren't so revolting.
