Pol, lit, mu, v are like half the reason any outside would come here, and they're all cesspits. Everyone's either a braindead dolt of an ideologue, or a contrarian poser. If anyone wanted to put up with people like that on a consistent basis, they'd just download twitter. If you want to fix that, you have to find a better way to filter out the schizos who corrupt every board. Problem is, you just can't maintain a long-term fun space AND a trust-based social media site, they're mutually exclusive.
Either there needs to be a fundamental shift that alters the soul of the site (oldheads won't like it) or there need to be small exceptions for bad actors (exactly as unappealing to the userbase as it sounds)
