It's the same here, a christian must at least try to follow ALL of jesus's teachings, mainly repenting of your sins, being baptised, and abstaining from all forms of sin, repenting if you fuck up, which you will.
If someone calls themself a christian and sins and allows sin without any remorse, they are not a christian.
