>>20709011>but geniuses are all hermits"Only Sith deal in absolutes." – a Scot
>Kind of an oversimplication but that's what I mean in a broad senseBut it is correct, is it not? Why is he not a genius then? Despite his autism? Wasn't/Isn't he ultra motivated and ultra focused on his work BECAUSE he is a hermit/autist?
If not him, who's an example of who you think of as a "genius hermit"? (For the love of Pete, don't fucking say Chomsky)
>Mark was the right place at the right time kind of guyCase in point, see above. So what's his deal? He's a weird, robotic Lizard-person. Despite that, he's a genius at his work. But you call him "stroke of luck" and "some skills"
My turn: Jerma985, my favorite streamer.
He purely is funny and/or is a pure e-clown. Even if it's some garbage I watch it because he's fucking hilarious or entertaining at the least. But he's continuously characterized as a psychopath because his audience understands there's something inherently but unspeakably different about him. It's not like autism but it's there. Additionally, he has a weird affinity to date younger women.
In any case, despite his difference, he's successful, he's one of a kind, yet you might write him off.
I personally observe, in this time where people need to be more specialized and of a higher caliber in their expertise than ever, I see more and more people being autistic, gay, furries, into some weird fetish, etc. et etc. (I can't think of anything – do you think I'm writing this all down in some notebook while I wear shades and a trenchcoat??)
It all SEEMS to fit the idea that "hermits/weird people develop from talented people who developed weirdness because they were ultra, hyper focused on their talent to the point they never invested anything into developing into becoming a 'normal' human being" but I don't believe it's that simple.
