The CIA/DOD/Deep-State whatever doesn’t care about communism or immigrants. They are, and have always been, anti-russian and anti-foreign influence. They see the two as threats to the American hegemony and their power. There’s evidence to support the idea that trump may have been loosely connected to financiers in Russia, combine that with the deals he made with Zelenskyy behind the DODs back and the fact he was an outsider makes them think he’s a threat to their goals in some way. This is probably the reason why the US intelligence officials support Biden, because he’s someone they know they can trust (being that he’s more or less a literal zombie.) Open immigration and cheep illegal labor is part of the democrats agenda and appeals to their base but it’s not something the DOD cares about. There’s more than one party at work here and they aren’t all on the same page but they work together out of convenience rather than shared ideals. This is how America has run since its beginning.
