The phrase
"Hard work beats talent until talent works hard"
I keep switching between thinking hard work and experience matters way more, but then I see some retard who has spent years on something and has gotten nowhere at it.
Is it just neglience? Do they actually try?
Of course a regular driver isn't fit to be a racecar driver despite driving for decades. Because they haven't challenged themselves in the critical areas of racecar driving. Also deliberate practice.
Maybe people just really try, but in a way that doesn't actually improve them that much which then makes it look like they aren't talented. Or maybe they are just slower and less talented.
