As you simply cannot enjoy drink unless you are first made thirsty, ect. You cannot enjoy knowledge without first being ignorant, loyalty without knowing betrayal, love without knowing loneliness, ect. The extremes of joy and triumph cannot be experienced without first experiencing their opposite. This is true of all things. And to wish for escape from this cycle is fine, but if you succeed, you will ultimately grow bored and wish to create and experience the horror and the beauty yet again. Forever. You can see this with the energy of great men in any field. The ones who come here with great passion, rage, curiosity, ect. Have had those energies build through pain and oppression of the same in another iteration. This is also known as the hero’s journey, the archetype for almost every good story- Things start out nice, then great horrors and the fall, and then the hero rises again to greater heights than he started, becoming more in the process. You can linger in apathetic detachment from the process if you wish, with little pain and little pleasure, but if you want to rise and feel more, you will need to pay the price.
