Daily reminder that Spanish is nothing but a simplified, infantilized and homo-erotic version of Portuguese, which is far more complex than Spanish and therefore the superior language.

Much simpler in terms of sounds. We have 14 vowel sounds whereas they have merely 5, and a lot of consonant sounds that they absolutely fail to reproduce correctly. I've seen it in real life. They sound absolutely retarded trying to speak Portuguese like a bunch of 6-year old children.

Also I'm referring exclusively to European Portuguese. Brazilian Portuguese, just like Spanish, sounds like what you'd expect from a group of chimps who suddenly developed the ability for human speech.

I kind of agree, In the past I thought Spanish was kind of sexy but after I met a bunch of spanish girls after a while it starts to sound kind of annoying, not as annoying as italian tho. Also the silent T is very retarded sounding. How is spanish derived from portuguese tho I've never head that. Also portuguese sounds hot when girls speak it.

I like Euro Portuguese more but I'm learning Spanish just because it's the most useful here, and Portuguese being more complicated doesn't really make me want to learn it more. Saying Spanish came from Portuguese is also dumb as shit, what do you think about Galician?

And honestly I don't really like Galician either. When I first heard I thought "oh wow, it's like a hillbilly accent on steroids!" given that I live in the surrounding area of Porto and thus I'm familiarized with hillbilly accents from people who live close to the border with Galícia.

When written Galician just looks like an ancient form of Portuguese... pretty off-putting to be honest.
