An artifact gives full immortality only when worn, when it is removed the user depending on his age, if the wearer is within the regular lifespan on a human he will not begin to wither and if the wearer is beyond the regular human lifespan then he will wither quickly until he dies, but if the artifact is worn again or another is put on in its place the effects of withering will be reversed and he'll be back to normal.
