Because Chinese growth is still driven by exports, their domestic growth has slowed down, they are dealing with an aging crisis that's going to rival their east asian neighbors while still having a developing nation's gdp per capita, and they have failed to foster a vibrant consumer economy as confidence has waned from property market issues.
They're not collapsing in 2 weeks for sure, but their prospects looked better say 10 years ago than they do today.
