>>20860434think of the implications, especially if your an atheist.
we have lived our lives being told we are tiny unimportant specks of dust in the vast unending, forever expanding universe. that we are accidents of evolution so we shouldnt try hard to preserve ourselves, life is all about fighting and fucking afterall right?
even if you don't realize it that is incredibly demoralizing and demotivating. why accomplish greatness? why fight to change things? why continue having kids? if in X amount of time the earth will be eaten by the sun as it turns red what's the point? being taught this as a young age helps us internalize it and these thoughts, people rarely question what they were taught from birth.
if the earth is flat then it immediately gives credence and believability to God, they we are made in God's image. That earth was here intentionally and just for us. We have a purpose in our creation, we aren't accidents of nature.
I'm not a flat earther, though somethings don't add up.
but the implications of a flat earth would be enormous and life changing
