My co-worker's child is starting at my Alma Mater in the spring. We were talking about our experiences when we went there and about some of the stuff being said in politics. For me the best things about going to college were:
1. The Girls
2. The Food
3. How much there was to do on campus

Despite hearing about how outrageous college costs are in the US, neither I, my co-worker or his son is paying a dime to go. For me that included an unlimited meal plan, dorm room fees, books and tuition, a declining balance to get supplies at the student store AND a stipend check every semester.

We talked about how politicians are saying that schools have become liberal indoctrination camps, but our university was considered one of the most conservative in the nation. I'm in a Midwest red state, BTW.

It sucks how many people aren't going, college was one of the best experiences in my life. Just feeling nostalgic and wanted to talk about it and hear about other people's college experience.
