>>20867172Yup. I live in the rural Midwest. I've been to Las Vegas, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Northport, Outerbanks and NYC. I still want to visit Tokyo at least once though, and take a cruise to the Bahamas.
Most of my time was spent just walking around, sight-seeing, eating at restaurants and chilling on the beach. I can do all of these things an hour away from my own home for ⅓ of the price.
Why go to Las Vegas? The closest major city to me already has nice hotels, a casino and it's cheaper. Miami? The closest city to me already has a beach and I can go jet-skiing on the lake. NYC? The closest city to me already has a bunch of great theaters and shopping centers. There's no reason for me to really travel much and the food where I live is ⅓ of the price it is in Las Vegas, NYC and Miami.
