I am a fucking nobody. I just want more space to breathe. I live in a 1bdr apartment with my Mom and she sleeps in the living room and I have a curtain up to separate the bathroom from where I have my camper air mattress setup. I try to spend as little time as possible there just driving aimlessly or staying at work.

Wut? She sleeps on a couch and you sleep on an air mattress? How poor are you? People throw away used mattresses all the time. Just snag one.

csx pays pretty well apparently. he travels all around the country maintaining the railways. gone from home for months at a time. He says he's going to retire there if he can
what i'm saying is: you could probably get paid to travel
(tuna boats / Alaskan cod boats are supposed to be good options for that stuff too but also relatively dangerous)

I'm currently living with my mother while going through a divorce. I want to kill myself every day even though I have a 6-month escape plan. Not sure how you can manage to live like that without knowing exactly how you're going to escape. My plan is the only thing that keeps me going.

I value physical privacy but I don't care about NSA or google etc. tracking me, even though I work in infosec and know in gruesome detail exactly what they can see and how. or perhaps that knowledge is exactly why I don't care

no, I was too lazy to get any certs (beyond basic IT ones ages ago) though I could if I wanted to. if you're not going into government work then no one cares since experience is a substitute. I have over a decade of experience in the industry now

I found a nice remote job with a low workload so I'll probably coast there for as long as possible. I could make more money by job hopping every few years but I'd much rather be a low-stress quasi-NEET SME
