Is there actually a benefit to your health that comes from doing this? I usually just throw some instant coffee powder into my water and call it a day.

Yes I fill my mug with the water and then put in some coffee powder and stir it with my metal straw gennerally

Probably not... but some Chlorella doesn't hurt, it's even edible. As some other anon said any large amounts of bacteria that could be in there would be destroyed anyway as the machine superheats and pressurizes the water through the espresso capsule
