Without division of labor not one in ten thousand people could even survive. So let's have division of labor. Now you MUST make something of value to someone else, otherwise they will not give you something of value in return. So even at the most basic subsistence level of human society, you can't keep the fruits of your labor, you must trade. So are the people you trade with stealing from you?
"But the factory owner isn't giving me anything in trade for my labor!" Yes he fucking is. He is giving you the use of capital goods like machines to multiply your productivity by a thousand. He then gives you a significant part of the benefit of that increased productivity. Don't think so? See how many bicycles you can build without the aid of machinery you can't afford to buy yourself. You will starve to death without the benefit of capital goods to amplify your sorry-ass rate of productivity. Human labor without capital goods is literally African mud-hut level economy. Enjoy your 40-year lifespan.
"But the workers can unite, accumulate their capital, and build their own factories." So what's stopping you? Go on, smart guy. I'll tell you what's stopping you - 99% of workers are too irresponsible to save any significant amount of money, and too stupid to arrange for the construction and management of a factory. It is as simple as that. Nobody who has ever actually worked in a factory or any other real job imagines that the average worker can build and run a factory. The average worker can't even manage his own pathetic home budget.
