Nowhere in the Old Testament does God command us to worship him

All he wanted was that you don't worship other "gods"
Some people think sacrifices are worship.
All of the sacrifices he commanded were in reference to atonement.
The sacrifices for worship were done at the Israelite's discretion. There was not requirement to do them (there were requirements regarding HOW to do them of course)
In other words, you will not be punished for not worshiping God because absence of worship isn't a sin. You will be punished for refusing to follow his commands
Worshiping God is a free will choice. You don't get punished if you don't (but you'd be crazy not to). The Bible affirms that God does not require worship and will not punish you if you don't worship him. This makes the shill mad because you all want to project your pettiness onto God, as if he NEEDS our worship out of desperation or insecurity.
