Anime is huge. It's so huge nowadays that "weaboo" is a word that targets pretty much anyone on the internet that consumes japanese media, which is increasingly harder to avoid. There's an anime for every genre and type possible. Therefore, to say that "anime is accepted by the right" is like saying "music lovers are accepted by the right".
Furries are, in comparison, much smaller. Because we're not talking about a type of media, we're talking about something more akin to a sexual fetish. And sexual fetishisms are known to be correlated with autism. That is because autists easily gain obsessions with interractions they have in their childhood.
And so, because their community is smaller, they gather together to create content centered around sexual gratification, while interacting together as autistic friends and lovers. The confusion between kinds of interaction makes their "community" very important to them. And so, they are more willing to be accepting of who they consider their friends.
Therefore :
