>>21002737the thing is Skyrim doesn't need 6 million mods to play smoothly
it's ALMOST perfect
it just needed to be finished when it was time, not rushed so it could come out on le epic 11-11-11 date
we don't need a "real life simulator" mod or a "dating" mod, and most mods completely change the rugged aesthetics and combat and turn Skyrim into a poor man's Dark Soul or Witcher 3
for example, think of any combat skill with all skill tree perks unlocked, it's already playing kinda smooth
THAT should have been the basic combat in skyrim and the skill tree should've turned you from already-capable fighter into the powerhouse that the Dragonborn is in the lore
I have no issues with parry/strike/parry/finish, maybe because I played Morrowind and the combat there was even "worse"
the real problem of Skyrim is as you said, it's FAR too new-player friendly man
and with the butchered lore and lack of impact you have on the world - modding only goes so far because you can't change the engine, mechanics and map size of the existing game
