Any pharmacy techs or similar here? Error or more?
I had a really weird experience today. I filled my adhd med prescription weeks ago but they were running low and gave me a partial fill. They called me that same day just a few hours later saying the rest was ready for pickup. I say I'll be there in a few days to get the rest.
A week goes by and I call on the weekend to ask if they are still holding it and they are. I tell them I'll be in tomorrow. I get there and they give me the remainder of them.
I get home and take one and go to put the bottle in my safe and notice that the name isn't mine but the dose/med is the same as mine. Random guy's name.
I call the pharmacy and tell them and the tech working is the same one that initially called me weeks prior, and the same one that I saw earlier to pick up the remainder of my script. She tells me to bring the meds back and she will refill it with the proper paperwork.
I head over and there are maybe 10 people working behind the counter. The same women I spoke to on the phone is quick to come to the counter and takes the bottle from me. She walks to the back for maybe 30 seconds and returns.
She has the same bottle with the other guy's name on it. She prints a new sticker with my information on it, puts it on top of the random guy's name and hands me back the same bottle I came in with.
She doesn't give me a receipt or anything. She just asks me if that's all I needed. I tell her I'd like a copy of the paperwork showing I picked up my prescription and she prints out a copy and gives it to me and I leave.
I get in my car and look at the paper and it's a proof of pickup slip from when I initially picked up the incomplete amount from weeks ago. And I can clearly see that some random guy's name, prescription number, Dr's name, refill date etc. is on the original sticker under mine.
As the day went on I've been thinking about how weird it was. Do you think someone is trying to fuck around and pocket some adhd meds?
