the outside cats here all just end up fighting each other and the strays which is not very epic plus they kill hella birds
on the other hand though I like patting them when I see them wandering and the combination of strays and other introduced mammals are probably decimating the wildlife much more than people's pets so whatev

So, first things first, I love cats.

Currently I do not own a cat and I don't think I'll be getting one. I've come to the conclusion that owning cats is unethical.

You either let them out to destroy the ecosystem and almost guarantee them an early and violent death, or you keep them inside and they live a long life of misery and boredom because of lack of freedom. There are no other options. Therfore, owning cats is unethical.
