I think this thread can be posted on /pol/ since it's a moral dilemma.

>On a walk with gf
>We're in a pretty wealthy suburban neighbourhood, lot's of nice houses around
>Gf spots a plum tree that stands on someone's yard
>One branch hangs over the fence, it's easy for us to reach
>She eagerly grabs quite a lot of plums
>Hands one to me, I refuse to eat it
>I say those were not our plums to take, and It'd make me feel like a thief to eat one
>She insists it's fine and nobody will die just because she grabbed some fruit
>She also says you're allowed to pick fruit if the branch hangs outside someone's yard
>I say it's a matter of principle, I'm not going to take stuff that belongs to someone else
>She throws away all the plums she picked, saying that she lost her appetite
>Mood is pretty sour at this point and we just akwardly walks next to each other

We eventually got over it, but the question remains, who was in the right?
