Australians have the second highest number of sexual partners in the world at around 13 or 14.
I believe the national average in other Anglo countries is closer to 10.
Sex here is regarded as something you preferably start around the time you finish high school, ideally drunk to "get it out of the way." You are then encouraged to play the field for a short while before two or three steady girlfriends and marriage.
Personally, I was a manwhore and it's a bit like having several instances of something potentially great and then procedurally working through them, consciously or or unconsciously, never stoppi g to really enjoy what you have or connect on a serious level. It's fairly hollow compared to having a ride or die where maybe you don't have sex as often after 15 or 20 years.
