The prophet speaks

The most dangerous STD of all is contempt.
The virtues of good character are many but the easiest to obtain and most powerful, leading to all others, are openness, humility and consistency. The very possibility of cultivating these virtues is destroyed by mere proximity to a promiscuous lifestyle.

A life of casual encounters gradually hardens the heart. The ego, burdened by unacknowledged shame, constructs a fortress of false pride. The one trapped atop this lonely citadel full of demons is compelled to look down upon others to maintain their fragile self-image- and forces anyone with them to do the same, or be cast down. The path from a life of fleeting connections to one of steadfast devotion is an unlikely one. Each casual encounter makes it more challenging to forge deep, meaningful bonds, and a life of cultivated passion is alien and strange to one not accustomed to toil. The ability to remain truly open to new experiences withers, as novelty becomes mere fleeting entertainment, leaving no lasting imprint on the soul. The promiscuous individual cultivates contempt - for others, for genuine intimacy, and ultimately for themselves, and they teach their bedfellows to act likewise. My children, beware the promiscuous heart, for its venom is a weakness of pride.
