It's all normal, and it's all way more serious than a girl getting a few tattoos.
It's especially annoying if you've been in a relationship with her for a while, you discover she's bipolar and bulimic, hasn't been taking her medication, and her family is asking you if you've seen her because she's gone missing. At that point, you can't just break it off with her because then you look like a complete asshole to her entire family.
