>>21142813I literally just said that it's not a matter of trying to cause division, but merely me stating the facts. Finland is not a part of Scandinavia. Only Denmark, Sweden and Norway is Scandinavia. Finns are Nordic people, and we do share a lot of traits, but it's wrong to say that you're Scandinavian. It would be the same as saying you're Russian.
All I'm hearing is that you WANT to be Scandinavian, maybe because you feel "left out" since you have no other countries to really group with.
I understand both Norwegian, Danish and Swedish, but not a word of Finnish. All three Scandi countries have Kroner as currency - you have Euros, and before that, you had Finnish Marks. You're not a monarcy (like Scandi countries) but have a president. You speak a completely different language, you look different and you are slightly different in attitude too.
Finland is not Scandinavia. What's so hard to understand about this? I like Finns and I like Finland too - been there twice. But I'm not a fucking liar, so I will not say that Finland is Scandinavian when it isn't.
