Do what I did
set up margin and throw half the money you're willing to lose into XDTE, then watch money roll in every week for a dopamine hit. You'll eventually look into their performance on YouTube and then you'll learn through osmosis, but the weekly distribution is a great motivation

It's really not that complicated. Shares are a slice of ownership of a business. When you buy shares you are entitled to a portion of the company profits. Companies that have stocks that are publicly traded have tickers (names). KO is coca cola, DIS is Disney. As a investor you want to buy as much future profit as possible from the companies you invest in for as cheap as possible. This is usually called cashflow. Bonds (fancy word for debt) have a fixed cashflow. Companies profits vary depending on the economy. This is why stocks are more risky but have a higher reward. Investopedia is a great resource to learn about what things mean and how they work. A lot of finance is just noise that isn't very important. The only thing you are trying to do is to buy as much cashflow as possible for as little as possible.

Cash fucking sucks outside of immediate purchase needs, but treasuries are ok
I just treat my high yield funds as a savings account with better interest. All that matters is that I don't dump initial value
