>>21146508Take this to /x/. The chemtrail conspiracy theory was created in 1997 by a bible thumper named Richard L. Finke, who was also an outspoken member of the Aryan Nations neo-Nazi terrorist organization. He called them "lethal contrails" and connected them to the new world order and population control. He and his friend named Larry Wayne Harris published their whacko conspiracy theories all over the internet and on a Christian radio station in Rushville, Ohio. They believed Iraq was going to blow up the United States with chemical warfare and the New World Order was going to take over. They were doomsday nutjobs. Harris was arrested several times throughout his life for threatening to use biological warfare in several places, including once on New York City's subway system. He also published several books and articles about bio warfare, anti-semitism, and the evils of the black race. Fast forward, the actual word “chemtrails” made its first appearance on January 8, 1999, in the article, “Contrails: Poison From the Sky” written by another whack job named William Thomas. He appeared on Art Bell's national radio program and the whacko chemtrail conspiracy theory gained major popularity from then on.
