the mechanism itself is gonna be based around the american 3.2 inch "bag gun", its a breech loader that uses a screw and lever to lock it in place, and uses an asbestos ring to seal the gasses
the carriage will be much older in design though, which is gonna be a split trail design made by the austrians during the revolutionary war period, which i have partially began to work on already. the carriage alone without the wheels is 8 feet long
the cannon barrel might be bulkier than this image although its probably unnecessary, but that'll be due to shrink fitting and welding on tubes over the inside one to add strength
after its finished I'll either powder coat the whole thing, or I'll attempt to give it a really nice reflective blued finish like you'd see on a gun
im getting into donating plasma and that pays a bit atleast, but i dunno if it'll be enough to afford to build it or not
