>>21166701i could never vote for anyone who was socially right-of-center. if there were a socially left-leaning economically right-leaning (or even full-on libertarian) republican and the democrat were a socialist i'd likely vote for the republican, but i doubt that'll be the candidate lineup in the next 50 years
and by socially right-of-center i mean specific things i disagree with, like promotion of traditionalism, strict gender roles, morality determined by religious tenets/claims, nationalism, protectionism (this is arguably economic rather than social axis but it's generally driven by social beliefs), xenophobia
it's not a team thing. if someone promotes any of those things i'm not going to like them or vote for them
