I was actually pretty active on 4chan at that time, maybe I was vaguely aware of that happening, but I don't remember thinking it was a big deal.
I just looked up "8çhan" on google trends to get an idea of its historical level of activity, does this look accurate? It appears it was most active from ~sept 2014 to ~sept 2015. So I assume if you're really nostalgic for 8çhan, you're nostalgic for that one year? Or did you also enjoy 2016-2019 on 8çhan?
>>21176464I disagree. Multiple images in one post is a tool I'd probably utilize. I don't even upload images very frequently, but there are definitely times I've wished I could upload 2-4 at once.
I know dvach has that (up to 4 images at once I think) but I'm not Russian, so I don't use that site. But I believe dvach is the second-biggest imageboard after 4chan, although obviously the respective userbases are completely different.
Of course I know 4chan will never adopt it, but I'm generally in favor of alt chans having it.
Does the sharty have it? What are the most active altchans in 2024? I only use 4chan now, and less frequently than I used to at that.

But it would probably be too hard to moderate, cp and such would become more widespread, and the site would be taken down by cloudfare or whoever. 4chan with user-created boards would be so cool, alas, never happening.
