My point was that cossacks aren't really a symbol of Russia, weren't unique to Russia, many of them were sworn enemies of the Russian Empire as pretty much every power in the area had some of them on their side, and they are nowadays associated more with Ukraine (which is also rather innacurate).
I'm not sure what unit or class would fit as a symbol of Russia. Something with a berdiche I guess?
