Jesus was indeed a Jew, but Jews of 2000+ years ago /= Jews today.
Jesus was the Christ - the culmination of the Jewish religion. All Jews that exist after Christ are de facto AntiChrists - they literally deny that Jesus was Christ.
Christianity is Judaism 'fulfilled' - the natural progression of Judaism following the return of the Messiah. Judaism nowadays is Christianity without a Christ, which is to say nothing.
Always baffles me when people say 'but Jesus was a Jew!!!' like some sort of gotcha moment. What they mean, of course, is that Jesus was the sort of Jews who existed after Christ, in the Middle Ages, when they wandered, cursed, from place to place, or in modern times, where they wreak havoc. But this is not true.
