Why do I (we) have to be surrounded by so many power obsessed, money hungry, megalomaniacs?

I just want to be left the fuck alone and every 2 - 4 years I have to be worried about some asshole in a suit, living in a big city somewhere, threatening my way of life.

They ALWAYS run on what they are going to do to other people, they never run on what they aren't going to do.
