Nothing is worse than doing nothing. Even if you feel like you are too old, if you aren't doing anything at all you will never get anywhere anyway.
I think it's bad to listen to most peoples advice because most people are stupid/biased/arrogant and are just pulling random shit out of their ass.
A lot of people won't admit they had to struggle and be a beginner at something. They just cry out "natural talent" and then there are people who tell people to stop because they lack talent.
