Most politicians are power obsessed, money hungry, megalomaniacs. They know politics is just a popularity contest, so they pander to the lowest common denominator.
Most cops just care about getting their pension, so they'll do what they're told, regardless of whether it violates the constitution or not.
Most judges are activists and because of judicial discretion, can basically rule however they want on any case.
Most people are short-term focused. They want instant gratification, welfare at the expense of everyone else and security at the expense of their liberty.
You're screwed if you're an actual Conservative. Your only options are to live in rural areas where you can be left alone. The problem is (and I see this first-hand all of the time), Liberals/Democrats ALWAYS destroy their own cities, then move to more rural areas and then continue voting for the same policies that they fled from. They are like locusts.
So no, I don't protest, because it's futile and I don't feel like going to prison for some made-up reason because some pissed-off loser cop and some activist judge decide to ruin my life, over some politician that doesn't give a damn about me anyways.
