>>21334731Shit, I hate when that happens. I never thought of that as a way to send it though. I just keep chipping away at whatever I think set it off and end up quitting in frustration.
Yeah, I agree with you. I had to put together my first modem just as BBSs were giving way to AOL and Prodigy Online etc.. Just old enough to remember life clearly before the internet. Having then everyone get a phone and participate finally killed the sit-down, appointment experience going online was.
Yeah, I hate the reddit line. So much. Because I hate censorship. It's like all the people who truly think like me are over there, because they're above this shit. But they have to fall in line and deal with votes and bans and watch their opinions. So I guess they just do. Yes, my tone and my politics probably align more with those people, but they are oppressed and they have to log in and people can come back at them MONTHS later and shove old posts in their face. I can't imagine.
Yeah, I cross the street when a gang of urban ruffians approaches. My friends and family who are more racist than me have had altercations with them that strengthened their hate. Until that day I give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm realistic. I can read the room. And I'm personable so I can make friends with just about anyone, cool down bar fights, that kinda thing. I know my limits though. I'm lucky to live in a really chill part of the world that hasn't yet been fucked.
I am wary to believe bots and agents. I mean, maybe sometimes with people keeping tabs or doing research. I don't know how bots can solve captchas and argue. I have seen some fucking gibberish that was suspicious and I'd buy the bot thing if I could read up on how it works and see it in action. But when I'm arguing with some dumbshit and posting good, relevant images and kicking his ass and he's like 'sure bot', 'look at this bot' it just drives me mad. Thank you for reminding me that they are pushing my buttons on purpose.
