People who were abused and have trauma, that use that as a crutch when they become the abuser is no different than the females who trafficked and end up trafficking when they got old enough. Past abuse isn't an excuse, be alone or get help.
The concept of abuse and murder having the same resulting consequences, therefore not being a deterrent - that is not the point. The point is nothing will stop them if this what they want to do, so we have to stop the cycle.

if abusers didn't stop when the threat of prison, then ending your life will most definitely stop you from abusing other children
