Socialism will never be a threat to anybody because modern socialists are created by the same principle that transcends socialism into wider culture, but is core to it. People assume that the collective is inherently stronger than the individual, however almost paradoxically this only remains true if the collective is a collective of individualists. As you prioritize the group over the individual, homogeneity, normalcy, and fitting-in over chasing personal greatness, those who are exceptional and above average will slow to meet the bar whereas people who are below average cannot necessarily speed up, so the average of the group decays over time until you're left with a collective of worthlessness, weakness, and learned helplessness. Since they are not motivated by the pure pain of starvation like in the early 1900s, any group these people try to form will decay and be inconsequential in the long term.
