Why are software engineers even called engineers when they're nothing more than code monkeys? Engineering means traditional hard engineering, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, etc.
Everyone can become a software engineer through self-education and online courses, while to be a real engineer, you’re required to earn a master's degree (a bachelor's isn't enough in these real engineering fields).
Software "engineers" are a disgrace to engineers, and they’re devaluing the whole term "engineer."
I hate you so much it’s unreal. Daily reminder that construction workers, plumbers, carpenters, etc., contribute much more to society than you fake engineers (and most of the white-collar jobs). We real engineers and our blue-collar brothers are the ones keeping modern society running, while you’re nothing but leeches on us.
If work in an office without real works, then you’re a subhuman.
