Even after the disaster rolling it out on /biz/, email verification is being slow rolled out to other boards on 4chan. It is live today on /vg/. /v/ and /pol/ are near certain to follow.

hot take, but waiting 15 minutes to post just the first time until you have cookies is not that big of a deal. in the phoneposting era ip bans are meaningless and the amount of botting, spamming, and generally low quality posting has gone through the roof because mods have no real way to police it. maybe if you don't care about storing cookies it isn't a big deal for you.

I don't see how this will prevent botting either, they'll just wait 15 minutes then begin their spamming, or tell their bots to start the timer 15 minutes before they want them to post.
