>>21397334UnIronically I have three trucks in my yard.
The last truck is a '96 1500 ram 4x4, I bought for two thou ten years ago. Working for a ranch and living rural so it was a help.
Did alot of my own repair work and maintenance. Then a few years ago I noticed the leaf stack was broken and a few had slipped out., other stuff going off. I don't want to get stuck somewhere way out, no trust for vehicle anymore.
Just not worth putting more money into. Plus insurance went up and gas was cheaper then (Trump era 1.30$/gal, Wendy's large specialburger meal 4.25$), but a truck sips gas like a fish.
It sat too long as I got another job driving for medical services and it wouldn't start.
Now I ride my mtb to get in town. 2 mile walk to store. I enjoy a good walk.
Lost weight. Started lifting again.
Now I'm working on running.
Money isn't pouring out my pocket anymore. My savings from jobs is stable actually. Everything I wanted or need for my home I already stocked up on.
Not having a vehicle is alright. I used to spend thousands every year on repairs, maintenance, insurance, fuel, time, worry.
