if you aren't a gay bottom or something you don't really have to worry about it in my opinion, but if you want to try it start with a moisturizer and gentle cleanser.
that guy probably had a really shiny moisturizer or sunscreen + makeup which imo doesn't really look good, but I guess some people like the "glow" or whatever.
personally I've been very avoidant of vanity and stuff like this after bad relationship experiences, but that's just me and depression-related
