why do you think they might do that? because they're crazy? watch the episodes. it's always family who lost a loved one and now they think they're seeing them in the fucking pantry, or something.
they're so stricken by grief and despair that they will believe anything you tell them if you act like you know what you're talking about.
I saw one couple, who lost their daughter to a drunk driving accident. Mom thinks ghosts, dad is skeptical. and then, they bring in this crazy medium bitch who just drives their worst fears through the fucking roof, and then bring in some normal guy to logically explain every haunting that happened, and suddenly they don't wanna hear it. suddenly, it HAS to be a ghost.
maybe, just maybe, if you brought them the reasonable guy first, instead of the nutjob, they wouldn't also be nutjobs.
